El Monga: Enciclopedia Ilustrada del Reino Animal Book

This sketchbook of over 300 pages compiles an impressive personal bestiary of drawings ("guide lines used to create the stencils that gave rise to the resulting tattoos"), imagined between 2004 and 2019, a time when his shop "Aloha Tattoos" was the epicentre in Barcelona of a movement that some do not hesitate to call Spanish Style. Tigers, panthers, cobras, sharks, scorpions, bats, eagles, goats, bulls and gorillas, cross, juxtapose and intertwine with skulls, bones, crosses, chalices and daggers, resulting in a true reference work of free iconography, an inexhaustible manual of beasts where each of them, moreover, can contain the marks of other cultures: inside the ears of his bats, for example, are the motifs of tribal tattoos.
