The Spektra Flux S is the follow-up to the popular Xion S PMU machine and is the first wireless PMU machine from the team behind Microbeau and DarkLab.
The Spektra Flux S is powered by a removable battery called PowerBolt, which allows PMU artists to run their machine wirelessly without cables or power supplies. Because it's replaceable, you can quickly and easily switch to an auxiliary battery (sold separately) when the charge runs out, so you can keep working with ease.
The PowerBolt includes a lithium-ion battery with USB-C connector and dynamic power path management, allowing you to charge the battery and power it at the same time. It offers fast charging speeds of up to 1.5 amps and up to 10 hours of runtime, depending on the type of plug module and voltage used. In addition, the PowerBolt's higher power density provides reliability and stability.
In addition to having an LED indicator for battery capacity and voltage, the PowerBolt has three buttons: one to turn the Spektra Flux S on and off, and two to adjust the voltage quickly and easily. Press the up and down arrows to change the voltage of the Spektra Flux S from 6 to 12 V in 0.5 V increments, with the LED colour corresponding to the voltage table on the PowerBolt.
The PowerBolt also provides the ability to "kill" the machine, preventing the Spektra Flux S from accidentally turning on, which is useful when travelling with the PMU machine on an aircraft.
The Spektra Flux S is a direct drive machine that offers no yielding and a 3mm stroke, meaning it is suitable for all types of PMU techniques. It is also very quiet when in operation and produces minimal vibration.
Those wanting to activate the E-Give will need to pair the machine with Fk Irons' Darklab Hover power supply or via Bluetooth with the Darklab app. This currently only works for the IOS operating system.
