Roses Reference by Víctor Policheri
It contains a selection of photos of real roses of different colors, positioned at different angles, to take as an idea and reference when making compositions. This is a collection of 144 pages of photographs of roses shot with tattooing in mind. A very common theme in all styles of tattoo, good references for artists are often limited to the sparse handful of pictures available on google.
I have tattooed for over 20 years and I know what an artist is looking for in tattoo-able reference. The first half of the book is red roses, different angles and lighting schemes, as well as arrangements of roses together to lend themselves to a good variety of compositional possibilities. The second half of the book moves into other colors of rose; pink, orange, yellow, white, and more. Strong contrast and shadows, as well as different colored backdrops and lighting schemes make for a comprehensive reference collection.
